The Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) provide certification to actuaries in the United States. Actuaries certified by the SOA generally work in health or life insurance while actuaries certified by the CAS work mostly in property and casualty insurance. As you progress through your exams and your career, you will eventually want to become an Associate, Fellow, or even a Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) through the SOA or the CAS.
